Q: How does a homebuyer qualify for Down Payment Assistance?

Buyers must have qualifying income, meet at least 640 credit score and occupy as primary residence. Ask your loan officer for additional qualifications.

Q: How is down payment assistance calculated?

We can provide you with up to 5% assistance to help cover down payment (3.5%) and closing costs (1.5). For example, 5% of a $300,000 purchase price would give you $15,000 for total assistance. Additionally, the seller can contribute up to 6% towards closing costs as well.

Q: Does Down Payment Assistance have income limits?

No there are no income limits, even if you have additional income, such as a second job or spousal income.

Q: What kind of loan program is used with Down Payment Assistance?

We currently offer a FHA loan as part of our Down Payment Assistance Program. FHA loan limits apply by county.
